Ocracoke Island Evacuations Begin Ahead of Hurricane Irene
Visitors of the island of Ocracoke long 16 miles off the coast of North Carolina have evacuated from Hurricane Irene.
It will ask residents to leave their homes on Thursday Morning for the category 3 storm, said the Governor Beverly Perdue (D) in a press conference.
